OD Season 13 Match 14: 11/09

Post by scienide on Thu Sep 10, 2009 1:38 pm

Wolfpack v Matrix_xfx
Date: 11/09/2009 07:30
Ground: Wolfpack CG

Big match on friday.
Two senario's with this match :

  1. if i win, i do not fall in the relegation problem
  2. if i win, i help Green and Gold to premote

So, will try few new tactics out and will probably be my strongest team ever to go on the field.
Last match was very close!
I made 199-9
and i bowled them out for 161 - so could of gone either way.

Best of luck all!

2. Wolfpack 13 10 0 3 40 54.31

I can either land up first or stay in 2nd place depending on Cibnott and if he decides to promote or not.

League: IV.48 - One Day League

Team Pld Won Tie Lost Points Net RR
1. Cibnot CC 13 12 0 1 48 68.75
2. Portugal_XI 13 12 0 1 48 58.99
3. Malva Marauders 13 9 0 4 36 18.53
4. The Jerry Hatricks 13 8 0 5 32 2.58
5. molyvos 13 6 0 7 24 -11.05
6. Bridge 13 3 0 10 12 -42.48
7. Acornhoek CC 13 1 0 12 4 -44.36
8. TheHazards 13 1 0 12 4 -50.96

My game should be pretty straight forward, but like I said my position depends on whether decides to promote or chuck his last game.

Welcome to Wolfpack CG for the match between Wolfpack and Matrix_xfx.

We can tell you that Wolfpack won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

Great start by my bowlers!

0.2 W Cahill to Cooper
Caught behind to a short of a length delivery. Perhaps Cooper can go and look up that poor shot on his laptop later.

3.6 W Bentley to Higgs
Beautiful slower ball from Bentley, deceiving the batsman who plays far too early and is caught at cover.

End of Over 5: 24-2, runrate=4.80
Cahill 3-0-14-1
Stone* 1 (4 balls)
Al dulaimi 10 (12 balls)

Last Wicket: Higgs c. Hale b. Bentley 13 (FOW: 22/2)

Re: OD Season 13 Match 14: 11/09

Post by scienide on Fri Sep 18, 2009 1:24 pm

End of Over 10: 59-3, runrate=5.90, reqrunrate=5.95 (296-5)
Byron 5-0-19-2
De villiers* 19 (21 balls)
Tierney 0 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Pinnock b. Byron 0 (FOW: 59/3)

Not what i wanted to happen!!!
His 111k BTR bowler has struck!

9.4 W Byron to Pinnock
Byron has found the batsman's gate and it was left open.
9.3 W Byron to Lancashire
That's missing off and missing leg but hitting middle half way up. No doubt about the LBW decision there.

Re: OD Season 13 Match 14: 11/09

Post by scienide on Fri Sep 18, 2009 5:27 pm

Got demoted this season in OD, and was not really worried about premoting or anything as have had to worry more about wedding/honeymoon things (important - incase the lady reads this Razz )

OD: #1 in IV.27
First season in this league and i was just looking at coasting - having DV in U19 team etc, well, come to the end the top 4 teams on same points and games won, and with NRR i got to 1st spot Very Happy (sorry Byron)

Then came the HUGE play off game and his default team was just too strong Sad

FC: #4 in V.11
Some big teams here - so i was happy with this league and was just trying to stay in the league.

BT20: #10 in V.102
Was a difficult league and was not too worried about BT20 this season.

Lets see what next season brings. On holiday for a whole month so will have to be default teams for a while Razz

best of luck everyone!!
