Re: [U19] Season 13
Evening all.
Tomorrow morning see's the U19/Nt matches back to it's normal format. (2 games per week)
Our lads have been training harder due to the 16 week season's!
The lineup has been set and our boys and Begbie are having an early night, resting for tomorrow's game.
1 or 2 players will be swapped as managers are not responding to mail about keeping players out of club games and reducing nets! We all need to work together regarding this...
07:30 BT time the lads will take on NZ at Newlands. [matchID=3988941],
while the big boys take on Pakistan at The Wanderers. [matchID=3988946]
NZ had huge controversy at the end of last season and all eyes will be on them if they pulled it together.
Please do come support the lads. I will be at work, but will be following as much as possible!

Bit of history of NZ cricket:
New Zealand became a test-playing nation in 1930(against England), but achieving success on the international cricket stage was far from easy. The country had to wait 26 years to record a test-match victory(over West Indies), and a further two decades to gain wins over traditional rivals England and Australia.
New Zealand played their first ODI on 11 February 1973, defeating Pakistan by 22 runs at Lancaster Park.
The current captain is Daniel Vettori. Vettori lost his first match as captain (vs South Africa) by 358 runs, New Zealand's worst ever defeat by runs.

Re: [U19] Season 13
Hope so too!
Welcome to Newlands for the match between South Africa U19 and New Zealand U19.
We can tell you that South Africa U19 won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a little uneven. Should be tough for the batsmen on this overcast and cold day.
End of Over 5: 20-0, runrate=4.00
Jeffrey 3-0-13-0
Ohara* 17 (17 balls)
Lister 3 (13 balls)

Re: [U19] Season 13
and another
7.2 W Fear to Simpson
Simpson has failed to pick the slower ball, as it loops mockingly and traps him plumb in front.
Keep this up guys!!

Re: [U19] Season 13
Fear gets his 4th
44.3 W Fear to Killen
Hells bells! How did he get to that? Brilliant fielding of the highest order from De villiers in the slips, Killen applauds as he wanders back to the pavilion.

Re: [U19] Season 13
Great bowlign by Fear!
End of Over 47: 179-10, runrate=3.81
Fear 8-0-33-6
Doherty* 2 (8 balls)
46.4 W Fear to Sicelo
Sicelo mistimes his stroke and Kotze appeals. The bowler joins in, a little late perhaps, but it's enough to convince the umpire. He seems to be nodding, and he's out - leg before wicket!
46.3 W Fear to Cox
Oh that's hit him plumb. Kotze and Fear are straight into the appeal and the slip cordon join in. The umpire's taking his time. And he lifts his finger! That's out!

Really encouraging performance there, some great efforts with both bat and ball bode well for the rest of this season. Keep up the good work!

Re: [U19] Season 13
How about time for some guess work?
For tomorrow's game:
1. Who do you think will win the toss?
2. What was the first team's score after 20 overs?
3. How many wickets will fall in total?
Answers here or on BT thread! Any answers submitted after the commentary start will be rejected.
My guess:
1. SA,
2. 82,
3. 15

Re: [U19] Season 13
Lets hope that DV actually gets some runs tomorrow.
He may open the batting again as he was barely in at all today so hardly taken a PFL hit.
